Tough Decisions. As the sun began its descent, the day was quickly getting away from me. I began to question my chances of finding one of the elusive wolf packs that had brought me on my eight hour journey from Idaho. I had a tough decision to make, do I return to the valley that was filled with the soulful howls of wolves the day before or do I continue to follow the large herd of elk back into the tree line in hopes that the wolves are looking for a meal? With my hands aching from constant exposure to the bitter cold temperatures I decided it was wise to pack up the camera and warm my bones as I chased the sounds of the previous day.
