Morning Mist. The deep shades of blue evaporated with the night, giving ways to the soft glow of sunrise. Trees awoke from their slumber as the golden rays danced across their crowns. I stood on the shoreline watching the wilderness come alive. With a sharp clank I set my stove atop boulders that lined the beach. It was time for a much-needed coffee. As the steam rose from my pot, a shape emerged from the fog. The dull hum of an engine mixed with the lapping waves. “Am I still dreaming?” I thought to myself. “No, no, I’m awake, this coffee tastes too good to be fake.” So, there I sat, warm coffee in hand and a sleepy pup by my side, taking it all in; another start to a perfect day in the mountains.
